My ideas from the very beginning were all over the place until I thought of an instillation piece of a fortune teller with tarot cards I would design myself. I then decided to dedicate my time to the tarot cars and realized that the mysticism aspect of the meaning of tarot drew me in. I first came up with really basic ideas until i thought of doing a very literal portrayal of the death card for my midterm. I thought by using a skull which is a staple to every death tarot card that I was thinking deep into it but with more brainstorming I came accross and idea I loved. I realized from the beginning I had been incorporating animals from butterflies to peacock feathers. I looked into poisonous animals which then lead to animal totems. Which is where my very last two tarot cards drew inspiration from. The colors I drew inspiration from healing crystals. I made up a vitual version using random images from google on Photoshop Express on my phone and then went from there. I also drew a few different owl faces after not liking my first owl face and then replaced it.

I chose to look into the moon card and the moon itself. I know that the moon has powerful meaning and too some a full moon can have a positive or negative connotation. As do owls which are nocturnal creatures. Owls are believed to be both good and bad omens which is why i sketched a half face of an owl. Then I looked into the opal crystal which is surprisingly used in dark magic but has a healing aspects as well. I liked how all of these things had double ended meanings so I thought theyd flow together. Instead of drawing an opal i decided to use a section of the page and take inspiration from the opals colors.
Inspiration behind the sun piece was to do the same concept of my moon card but relate it to the sun. I used a moth becuase they are attracted to light and the purple tones in the middle were inspired by the amethyst crystal which produces light and positive energy and can recharged in the sun.
